Day @ the park

Today we were at the Layton park taking some photos for my cousins graduation. While my sister and I were busy doing that, Sophie and her Daddy were playing on the swings and the slides enjoying what the park had to offer! 

I don't feel that she is afraid of anything. She is so daring and always making my heart jump out of my throat. She runs up the side and darts back down in a matter of seconds. As you will see in the photos.... the big red marking on her head.

Sophie had a BLAST and could have stayed there all day long if I would have let her. She melts my heart each and every day. She makes life worth so much more when I watch her explore and enjoy all the little things that we all seem to take for granted.

  

Easter 2012

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!

Today was truly a wonderful day that we were able to spend with our PRINCESS.

Sophie has been practicing how to find Easter Eggs with her sweet Nana. Which was probably a really smart idea. She was such a pro at finding the eggs!! To watch her grow up so fast is hard for me knowing that this time will soon be over and Sophie will be all grown up. You melt my heart each and everyday

PLAY DATE

Today Sophie was able to have a PLAY DATE with some new playmates. We had Max and Michael over for some pizza and play time! Well I feel that it was mostly for us mommies to catch up on old times. My friend Carla is in town from Tulsa and I was glad that we were able to have time to catch up on her new adventures in OK. Also had my dear friend Bevy who is due any day with new baby C! Life is always so hectic that it is always a good feeling to spend a few hours with those you truly care about.

Thank you ladies for giving me some adult time but also understanding of having little ones.

I hope next time Michael will be able to run around with Max and Sophie so that he too will have a great time playing.

MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone!!! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your families. I was able to have a fun 9 days off from work which allowed me some much need TLC with my cute family. We took Soph to see Temple Square for the first time, which we had a great time for the first few moments of the night but I think it was just way to cold for my monkey to be outside.

We did the annual Christmas Eve party at G-ma Elaine's House! I always look forward to spend some time with D's extended family. This is really the only time we ever see them unless there is a wedding or something like that. WE ATTEMPTED to take a family photo with everyone in it and have it be successful...... we at least we tried RIGHT!?!?!?! I will wait for Jenn to touch up the photo then I will get it posted.

Derrick had to work on Christmas day which totally sucks big time. So we did family presents with my in laws house so that we could have some time together watching Sophie opens her gifts. SHE got so SPOILED and that is an under statement for sure. As you will see in the photos at the end of the post. All I can say is A PONY!!! Thank you family for all the wonderful things that you do for us each and everyday. We truly are in debt to each and every one of you!!!

Our adventure continued with me and Sophie at my mothers house Christmas morning where she always makes us a HUGE feast of food which could feed an army of people. There was 11 people total and 1/2 are children. Got to Love MY MOM!! I am sure leftovers are on the table for a week :) We end the night at D's dads house where we were able to finally get to spend some time with my husband! We had a very relaxing night with the family which is the best way to end a holiday.

We love all of you so much for taking time to read up on our family! I will do my best to stay up to date in the new year.

DANCING PRINCESS

This is Sophie DANCING it up at Sam's Club! She is listening to that special, most favorite singer of mine.....GAGA NOT!!

Sophie is having so much fun dancing away at the music. Plus she is to young to know how silly she looks at this point. One day she will love her parents so much I think that she will be seen in public with us! TBD.
